No secret that I like PR and events and yesterday was National Night Out. It’s an event in almost all communities when lawenforcement, firedepartment and EMS has different happenings around their towns to strengthen the relationship with the community. Athens had not done this for many years so it was a little unsure about the outcome. But they had chosen a perfect location, Coleman Park where there was several soccer and baseball training and tournaments going on. So there were a lot of kids around. And they loved this!

We had a great time. I wish I have had the opportunity to get a pizza from 6 Fork but the line was too long. But I got a slice from a Athens PD Corporal at least! I never got to try the ice cream either, simply because we were too busy and then we had to leave. Another time. When it comes to the ice cream, I’m not even sure that I can have it since I get very sleepy from regular ice cream.

It was a lot of fun meeting everyone last night. Will try to do more events here in the fall and get out in the community more since I enjoy it a lot!
