Quick Update

Sitting in Mineola updating my blog. The advantage of picking up a shift in a county that lets you go back to the station sometimes between calls.

My life is quite repetitive right now in one way but it happens stuff during the days that makes them interesting. Basically I wake up, go to work, go home and eat and let the dogs out, go to the barn, go home and goes to bed. Today is day 3 of work. I have to pick up a shift a week to get enough money to survive… gosh having horses costs, but the return in love and happiness makes it worth the while!!! It is so fun to work them and to come to the barn and see three happy girls like this, just makes me so happy as well!

The temperatures has been so much better lately so both Monday and yesterday I was able to lunge Amaria and Dallas. I only have time and energy to do one a day on my workdays but that’s better than nothing. I update my other blog CeciliaWichmann.com about the daily work and training so if you want to know more in detail how that is going, look there! But I have really felt so much more happiness since I got them closer to me. It truly means the world to take care of them, have the closeness and love to them every day! Days like today, when I work 6a-6p are the boring days. Yes I could go to them afterwards but I wouldn’t be there until 7:30pm and at that point I’m so tired I barely know how to walk. It’s better that I take a day “off” the barn.

Remember the ordeal with AT&T that dug up my front yard. Finally, yesterday when I got home there had been a closure!!!

3 weeks, phone calls, new mail box and everything else later they finally finished it up. Good grief. I actually spoke to the technician last week and he told me that it would be done in the beginning of this week. Well I wasn’t sure about it but yet, it is. Now we just have to in one way remove the old mailbox… but as long as it’s covered and another mailbox is there, it’s not a hurry!

My arm is getting better. Still no pain or swelling, just the ugly bruise that even makes doctors cringe and wonder why I didn’t have it x-rayed. I see no need still. Everyone thinks it’s one, maybe two hairline fractures there and I can agree with that. Most likely is and I am just thankful to that I can have full use of my arm and hand.

Twix and BamBam are doing good. They think I work too much, to which I absolutely agree. But if they want food, I have to work. I prioritize to take walks with them on my days off so they get as much time as possible when I can. Now the temperatures are so nice I am able to have the door open for them during the day (and turn off the AC) so they can go out and have fun whenever they want to. Yet, I see them in the cameras laying on the couch being true couch potatoes! Life as a dog huh!

Time to get back to work I guess. Just had the time to write a little now when I actually brought the Ipad with me to work. Usually it’s no point because we are always in the truck and I don’t have any wifi there.

Hope y’all are doing good!
