First of all… where the heck did January, February, March, April, May, June and July 2024 go? I can not believe that I am writing August 1, 2024 today! This is nuts how fast time flies.

I remember one day as a child. My grandmother and I was driving home and she said to me “Just wait, the older you get the faster time flies”. As the 10 year old girl I was, with slight of an attitude, I laughed at her, not for one second believing in her words… She is sitting up in heaven watching me laughin because I think of that day several times a week. She was so right!
I want time to slow down just a tad because I don’t have time to enjoy life really! This is just a little bit too fast for my pleasure!

Secondly… I would like to extend a thank you to all school districts! Y’all keep me freaking busy this time of the year. I have not been a notary for a year yet and little did I know all the stuff the different ISD’s needs to have notarized every year.
Came home from work at 6:30 am and less than an hour later I had my first appointment. And at 9 am I had another one. Then I headed to Kaufman for a third notarization. It is not often that I do three before 11 am but today was the day! I enjoy it. I try to make them as smooth and quick as possible as everyone thinks it is an inconvenience to get done.
The appointment in Kaufman was outside HTeaO. Yes, I absolutely had to have a tea! They have so many different flavors that I am not even thinking of!

Headed to the horses on my way home. After a couple of days of cooler weather it is now going back up towards 100 degrees. And OMG, these girls are moody! You can tell they do NOT like the heat. Today Acriz was in such a bad mood I had to close their stalls to let them finish their feed. Usually I can let the doors be open but not today… That is the good thing with it being August… we are going towards fall!

When I got home I did something that I find a little uncomfortable but sometimes it is good that I do it. I send out text messages to the notary clients asking for google reviews. It helps others find me and it’s always good with a good review. Usually people just ignore the text message, which I completely understand but today was a different day. Look what awesome five-star review I got!

The rest of the afternoon will be spent in front of the computer and TV… Olympic Games is in full swing in Paris and I just love watching it. Have some real estate stuff to take care of as well. Didn’t get my morning nap in with the dogs this morning so I bet they would like to have a snuggle as well!
