I am not a snake fan… I find them fascinating but I don’t really like them. It is not a cuddle animal to me… The other day when I was at work, we posted at one of the fire stations in the area. Suddenly one of the firefighters walks in with this thing in her hand!

Yeah… a Banana Ball Python… The old animal control officer in me kicked in right away. They found it the other day and kept it at the station. Not legal but that’s not my problem. I told them what they had to do (call Game Warden) but whether they did it or not, I don’t know. But the snake was docile and healthy and they had just fed it. It was cool to see at least. More fun was actually some of the other guy’s reaction. They would not go close to it at all and thought I was way too close to take a picture of it!
It reminded me of the day I had a King Cobra in a box outside the door of the animal shelter… and that was not a happy snake. I was very glad that the box was well secured as I wasn’t allowed to leave it out of eye sight until it was dropped off at Fort Worth Zoo… It all went well thankfully!

The weather has been so hot lately but yesterday we got the edge of the Hurricane Beryl. We didn’t get any wind thankfully but a lot of water and we needed that. The temperature drop was also very welcomed. I could tell that my horses were very grateful for the break and they really enjoyed the rain.

Once they had finished their feed I gave them they headed out of the barn. Usually they stay inside for a while. Even when it started pouring down rain they were outside. Sadly the temperatures are going back up today and the rest of the week.

I am super busy with real estate this week. So excited to put my very first listing on the market, hopefully Friday if not before. We had a Zoom training yesterday on the new forms and it was a lot of fun! Learning and figuring things out is awesome. My new broker, Bruce Archer is absolutely amazing taking the time helping me and checking my work so I can learn the ins and outs of things. I am truly blessed that he took me on his team! So more with this will come at the end of the week!
