What a day… This has been something going on for the entire 2024 so I’m going to shorten it down significantly.

New Years Eve I was advised that the farm where my horses are was going to go up for sale. They had decided to move closer to their family, but they would still be in the DFW area. But the horses could stay and it wouldn’t change anything significantly with real estate either.
The family have spent a couple of months back in El Paso, where they moved from and where their business still. They felt they were needed as the company went through some changes. About a week ago I was asked what my real estate plans were and honestly, I have been spending a lot of time thinking about that. It is not beneficial for me if they leave East Texas to stay with them as I am actually their only agent here. On top of that, I become an expense for them as they have to keep a membership for MetroTex open which is not fair either. So today we had the conversation about what to do and we came to the agreement that it is better that I go with another broker that is local to the area. No hard feelings at all.

I had already started to fish the waters to see what other brokers offered so it wasn’t really hard for me to decide who to call. Bruce Archer with Premier Legacy Real Estate!

But little did I know how fast things would move. It also sped up due to me having a listing appointment just an hour after all this came about. You see, we can’t sign any papers until the move has been completed in all areas, with both TREC and MetroTex. But I told the situation for my client and it all should be in order on Monday or Tuesday so it is all good on that! We have time.

Since it all went so quickly I had to spend the afternoon with announcing this change on social media and make sure every outlet is correct… those are the times you wonder why you have so many channels… good grief. That has taken my entire afternoon! I am completely exhausted in my head right now from simply thinking.

Have a meeting with Bruce tomorrow to go through all new stuff, how they do things etc. I am so excited about this move! It will be so awesome!
