I was suddenly noticing that the left side of my nose started hurting where my glasses are. Thought it was a little strange so I took off my glasses to look and saw this

No wonder it was painful. But why did my glasses make such a mark out of nowhere? I have had these for 5 years, never had an issue… looked down at my glasses and immediately understood the issue…

I have absolutely no idea of how or when this happened… To my knowledge I haven’t dropped them, I haven’t done anything to them… just normal wear and tear?

Of course this happened right after business hours on Monday so I couldn’t get it fixed them. And yes, you say that I can get kits at Walmart and fix this myself… I’m not a handy person folks… I bet I would break something. And on top of that, I saw this as a sign to get an appointment to see the eye doctor again. It was after all 5 years ago 🤦🏼‍♀️. Since I was working yesterday I had to come up with some kind of solution how to get through a 24 hour shift with this…
But it was an easier fix than I thought it would be. I put a piece of bandaid on the glasses and then another bandaid on my nose. And it was barely visible…

So I managed to make it through the shift without any problems actually. It was very red and irritated when I came home and took off the bandaid though.

But the mission was completed this morning… I called my eye doctor and made an appointment. I couldn’t get in until end of July, and that’s fine. I’m in no hurry. I also asked if I could come in and get help getting the glasses fixed and that was no problem. So I’m about to head that way now and get it all taken care of!
