Two Strong Days

I must say I’m quite happy with myself right now. The last two days has been really good. I have been able to live “normally”, not had to go and take naps and I’ve even been out and about after bedtime!

Yesterday was absolutely a networking day! I had two one-on-one’s in Forney. I love doing one-on-one’s and getting to know other people, their businesses and how I can help them grow. The first one was with Levi Tanner with Tanners Garage Doors. We met at Panera Bread. I had never been there actually. The second meeting was with Kari Camacho with Wilco Contractors. We met at Latham Bakery… needless to say, it was not a healthy start of the day, but heck the sandwich at Panera and that cheesecake at Latham was absolutely delicious!

I was a little worried that I would be completely exhausted when I got home. It was already 3:45pm and I got out of bed around 5am… But I was doing okay. I had seen an event online that I wanted to attend that started at 6pm…

Usually I’m lazy and it ends up with me not going. I’m always going alone and it often ends up with me just sitting by myself at a table. But I felt like I had to go and check this out. Nobody is coming to knock on my door, or ask if I want to come along for that matter. I have to get my butt out on my own. And why not now when I actually felt strong! If I saw that it wasn’t any fun, I could just go home.
But it would turn out to be awesome!

I had never been to Lyric Art Cafe & Venue since they opened… shame on me. What a beautiful place. I took this picture when I got in the door, 10 minutes later the place was packed with people!

I decided to support one of the food trucks outside and ordered a baked potato, something I absolutely love. But this one was probably the most expensive potato I’ve ever had… $16!!! And it did look delicious when I opened it…

And the brisket was good. But the potato wasn’t fully cooked and hard in the middle. To the point I went through two forks because plastic bent… sad to say, not worth the money… and absolutely not when I got home and it all came back up again 🤮

Anyway, I sat down at a table by myself and got a facebook message that my friend Ash probably would show up. While eating my baked potato there was a bunch of people I saw that I had not seen for a good while! It was awesome! At the table next to me sat a woman with books and her laptop. It looked like she was studying or working. We started chatting and it turned out she was writing a children’s book! Her name is Frieda Wiley. We had such a fun conversation for hours and even after the cafe closed. Ash came and joined for a little bit before she had to head back to her family!

I had such a great time. So glad I went! Just a reminder to myself that I need to get out of my house and see people. That’s the only way to have some fun. I am actually a little bit proud of myself that I didn’t just take the easy way out and stayed home this time! It truly paid off.

After getting all the food out of my body the wrong way I got a good night’s sleep and I feel great this morning waking up! Have to get to the vet when they open to pick up more meds to BamBam, and then I have another networking meeting at lunch in Royse City. So I think this will be a great day too!
