I know… you may have missed it. Because it is not blasted on social media that December 21st is actually my birthday. And if it ain’t on social media, it isn’t existing, right?
The reason for not having it on social media is that I have some quite bad memories from my birthday (read last year’s birthday post) and I’m just super scared of disappointments again so I removed it. Or so I thought. I did realize that one of my profiles had it public that it is my birthday. And that’s okay. I posted this picture on my business account so it wasn’t really a secret…
But I absolutely did NOT expect all those Happy Birthday greetings! Thank you all so much! I don’t think I have had so many Happy Birthday posts the last 5 years! I am honestly humbled and touched by all the love! β€οΈ
I’ve had a really awesome day actually! Came home from work this morning and for once it wasn’t too cold in my house. Went to bed and cuddled with the dogs for about 2 hours. It is my absolute favorite time of the week to spend a couple of hours with them.
At 1pm I had a one-on-one in Rockwall. We met at 30 Brunch House, a place I had never heard of. But I had checked out their menu online and already made up my mind. You only have birthday once (my case twice) a year right… so this is what I had
Banana Nutella Crepes. Yepp! That was absolutely delicious!!!!! And I was so full afterwards!
When I got home I had an Amazon package outside my door. Suddenly the awareness of what day it was completely went out of my brain. I was thinking “I didn’t order anything at Amazon”. “That must be for another house” and “what the f*ck did I order in my sleep now”. But it had my name and my address on there… so I took it inside an started unpacking it. That’s when I saw it was my friend Seth who sent me a birthday gift!
It took me a good three minutes to figure out what was going on! (To my defense… this is my first Amazon gift ever…) And look what I found inside!!!
OMG!!! I absolutely LOVE IT!!!!! Thank you both Seth and Jaclyne for this gift! I will use it daily! I had one when I lived in Sweden but for some reason it didn’t make it over and don’t ask me why I didn’t get another one… I freaking own a tea company! But here I am sitting writing my blog and sipping on my Earl Grey tea in my new cup! Life is pretty good after all!
