I’m Exhausted!

Good Grief! The last couple of days has been absolutely crazy! I’m not sure I signed up for all this madness. Don’t get me wrong, most of it is fun but I’m not 25 anymore, I can feel that! And it doesn’t help that I come up with so many new projects and stuff to do either… đŸ‘©đŸŒâ€đŸ’»

One thing I learned last week was to NOT put a closing date on the date where I work. Well to my defence, when I did schedule it we thought it was going to close much earlier than it did. But I was sitting at work trying to coordinate ever loose end in the last minute. We got it all together and the buyers signed the papers 6 minutes prior deadline. Phew…

And just when all that was done my coworker texted me and asked what I was doing the following day, on Saturday. Well my plans were to be at the Christmas market in Wills Point with Harlequin Tea but that was not going to last long. A client came up from Austin and wanted to see four houses in the area and she was wondering if I was willing to take on that client. Gosh… I hate taking that kind of decisions. I wanted and needed to be with the business at the market. I paid $70 for it and that would be lost. On the other hand, I could get more money in the long run showing houses… So I cancelled the market and started to look into the new project.
What I didn’t know at the time was that dispatch was going to keep us up all damn night. I am not joking. We ran 4 transfers back to back. Started at 5:40pm and did not come back to the station until 3am. Got an hour of sleep and back at it at 4 for another one. I was so tired when I left work. Basically been awake 26 hours.
Lucky me I got an hour of sleep when I got home before having to print papers and get ready for the four showings. Completely forgot that food was something that was necessary. I made sure my dogs had eaten and ran by the barn and fed the horses before the first showing. But myself… haha. Nope.

Terrell, Wills Point, Eustace and Streetman was the towns to visit. A total of 194.5 miles later I came home even more exhausted and now starving. But happy. The clients were awesome people and we had lots of fun. Saw some interesting and unique properties, that’s for sure!

Ten hours of sleep and I felt okay after all. Though quite unmotivated to do what I had on the schedule. After this craziness all I wanted to do was cuddle with the dogs in bed with a good movie and some tea. That was not what happened! After doing some office work early in the morning I headed to the barn to feed the girls. Came home and had to get ready for the last Christmas performance of the season. Swedish American Chamber Of Commerce had their Christmas party and we were just going to perform a couple of songs. Thankfully no solo! I’m not sure my voice would have managed that. It was giving up on me at the end anyway. But it was a good time!

Met two tall friends 😂. Emma is also a Realtor actually. I told her that if anyone would have said last year at this event “you will also be a realtor next year” I would have told them they were crazy. Yet, here we are!
Emma and her mom Helene asked me to join them for the dinner as they had a ticket left over. So sweet of them. I gladly accepted the invitation. Never say no to some Swedish Christmas food and good company, right?

Since it’s quite cold at night now I have to swing by the barn twice a day and give them hay. So I did that on my way home. Crashed in bed and slept another 9 hours last night.

I like when it is crazy and lots to do but my house chores are running behind. I need to clean my house desperately. It’s nothing fun to do but needs to be done. Yet, here I am sitting and typing this…
