Far back in my storage units are two embroidery machines. Once upon a time, when we moved here, mom and I had an embroidery business. I absolutely loved doing it. Life went to shit and the machines ended up in storage. Today they are probably too old to use. Technology has kind of evolved. One of them uses a floppy disk… that says it all right! But I love having my logos embroidered. It is just a quality thing.
A while back I saw a Facebook post from a business in Grand Saline (about 30 min drive from me) that did embroidery. But it wasn’t what they embroidered that caught my eye, it was the green color of the machine. It was a Tajima Machine, the same brand as my machines. That told me immediately that this company could do quality stuff if they had a good digitizer.
Two weeks ago I drove over there to talk to them. Needless to say, I’m quite picky about my promotional stuff. And embroidery stuff… yeah I’m probably not a fun customer. Simply because I know how it can be done! Have in mind, mom was a seamstress and she did not let any bad things leave our house.
The business is 5-H Custom. I ordered three shirts and a cap with my logo on. It would take around 2 weeks. Fair enough. Emailed my logo so she could send it off to digitizing. Along the process, Anna has updated me with the progress. She sent me a text with suggestions of cap, when the logo was back from digitizing, suggestions of gold colors. THE BEST customer service ever! I was thinking to myself; “this girl got it”. Today I got the message that my stuff was ready for pick up. And it did not disappoint!
I’m so freaking happy! Three shirts and a cap! That will look so professional when I come out on networking and public events, showing houses and whatever I may do. I am so glad I ordered three of them because I will wear them every darn day! They truly did an awesome job! Poor Anna, she really doesn’t know who she has as a customer yet… in a good way.
I spoke to her about doing things for Harlequin International. When I left I had ordered a navy blue mug for myself with the logo on. We had agreed that at the end of the month I would send her over the Harlequin logo and until then I may have made up my mind what I want etc… but then I came home and I thought to myself, WTF, just send her the logo, get it digitized and think while that is going on. I’m not in a hurry but still… said and done. I just like to have a professional look. So more is to come in a couple of weeks! And I am excited and a happy customer!
