Kind of disappointed but it’s also nice. My new job had a week until the new schedule falls into place and they take over the new 911 system where they didn’t have a truck for me to be on or anything else to do so I got me a week of unplanned time off. I probably needed it in one way because I felt I was quite worn out after all that’s been going on the last couple of months but it also worries me a lot how to manage this financially. I know I won’t have any real estate income anytime soon either so it is rough to say it the least. But I’m spending my time doing what I can to boost my social media presence and taking care of myself ant the dogs.

As the morning person I am, I always wake up around 4am. I get the dogs their breakfast early so when the day breaks all of us can take a walk. It doesn’t go fast but at least we do something…

Trying to get the routine and habit of walking early in the morning and so far we’ve managed to do it both Sunday and Monday. It is now 4:25 am Tuesday so it’s still dark outside… but I am aiming on doing it again.

Taking care of myself aesthetically as well. To have good looking hands is important for me. It’s just something people notice so I like to have my nails done. As well, if I don’t have them done I will bite them down to nothing. So yesterday I took me a little trip to Terrell and refreshed them… now I also know, if you choose more than 4 colors you have to pay another $10… but I think it was worth it anyway…

Twix scare the crap out of me yesterday… We had just woken up from a nap and I was going to let them out. Then he started to vomit and this is what he got up…

I freaked out. Well Twix on the other hand seemed to be completely fine. He was acting just normal. Running around, happy, going outside, drinking water without problems and kept it. But why all this pinkish redish? He had not been eating for almost 11 hours… Had to tell myself to not panic, it was closing time at the vet but Twix was just his normal self. So I decided to cook rice and add into his dinner. Only gave him half to make sure he didn’t throw it up. He didn’t. He played with his toy, napped and haven’t had any problems since. He is the sweetest boy, even tried to tell me he was fine I guess…

It has now passed 12+ hours and he hasn’t done it again nor has he showed any signs of problems. If he had done this outdoors I wouldn’t have known anything… Yes I am a chicken mom and I am proud of it!

Today starts the preparation for Canton First Monday this weekend. I have said I’m gonna give it 3 more months. If the sales aren’t up by the end of the year I will leave. I realized after the Mineola show that I make more doing that kind of shows one day than doing Canton three or four days. It doesn’t make sense to me why I do Canton then… I need to make more than just break even. It is a lot of fun to be there but also a lot of work.
I am also going to attend Forney Area Networking Group (FANG) for lunch networking today. I am super excited about it. It is so fun to be back and participate in small business and the community. Hopefully I can expand my networking a little bit here in the near future!
