Iron Horse Heritage Festival

It felt like it was a long time ago I was out on a small town festival with Harlequin Tea. I was excited! I heard a lot of good about the Iron Horse Heritage Festival in Mineola and I can say it didn’t disappoint! What I wasn’t prepared for was the weather. I was wearing long jeans and it was 97 degrees. Yeah, that was not the brightest decision of my life. I was cooking all day. To the point of dehydration. The water at the event ran out for everyone. Myself included. My ice even melted in the icebox! I had to stop at a gas station in Grand Saline on my way home and buy 1 liter of water and a Gatorade to somewhat catch up. I had been sweating so bad all I could taste at that point was salt. So that water and Gatorade was very nice in combination with my car A/C.

It did surprise me how many people bought tea in this heat. I’m not sure that I would really think about a hot drink. But I was super happy about it. Saleswise I had a good day! Actually better than I’ve had at many Canton days so yeah, I’m happy!

Now comes the work with unpacking everything, restocking and preparing for Canton next week. It’s not too bad and it’s fun job. Just had to be done… lol.
