Damn Car!

In August/September last year was when the trouble with my car started and it has not stopped. First it was the battery. Easy fix. A couple of weeks later it got overheated in Terrell and I had to take a tow truck back to Wills Point. Got it fixed, the thermostat. Then, in March it happened again on my way to work. Had to take a tow truck from Tyler (Thanks Jesus for AAA). You would think that the problem would be fixed then, right? But nope. I was coming through Elmo last night on my way to the barn and there we went. Overheated again. Thankfully I was only a mile down the road from the barn so I could make it there safely. Up with the hood while I was fixing with the horses trying to get it to cool down.

Chad, the property owner helped me and look and saw there was barely any coolant left. It was not worth the risk to drive to Wills Point. With my luck, I bet I would have a car on fire in between Elmo and Wills Point. So… here we go again. My neighbors up the street has a towing company, BrotherZ Towing & Recovery. So I called him and asked how much it would cost me to get the car (an myself) home. $85. Not the expense I needed but what the heck should I do. 45 minutes later he was picking me and the car up and took us home.

At least we were safe and no major damages so far.

I had my stand by day at work today. I was almost 100% sure that they would call just because of the situation but thankfully my phone remained quiet. I called the shop this morning and he can’t take a look at it until tomorrow… I just pray and hope he can fix it tomorrow so I can get to work on Friday! Otherwise I have a problem.

Well, now I am sitting here at home and can’t get anywhere. Major problem. I have absolutely no dog food. This is how it looks after the dogs got their breakfast.

I knew I had enough for this morning so I had planned to go to Canton today and get dogfood, water and swing by CVS to pick up my meds… guess that ain’t happening. Maybe someone is going to Canton or Terrell and I can get a ride, I asked on Facebook but you never know. If not I will have to walk to Dollar General and get whatever I can for dogfood until I can get to a Walmart… I am so pissed about this! So tired of once again having to deal with it but in the same time, no one is hurt, injured or dead (yet)
