I am so blessed that I can have my horses at the Fields farm. They have 17 acres that they roam on every day and I have three beautiful stalls to have them in while I work them. Due to the winter and all stupid things going on this last couple of months, not a lot of training has been done. Yesterday though was Farrier day. That sparked me a little. My farrier is Dutch and he gave me a little more energy and determination to start working them again. So today I headed to the barn early in the morning. Started with giving all three a good groom and trimmed their mane and tales so it looks like someone takes care of them. It wasn’t the best trim because neither of them wanted to be still, but it’s shorter and better at least.
Then all three got lunged. They are slowly getting the grasp of what I want them to do but they don’t see the point with it. All three did a good job and I was super proud of them! At least we are starting the journey again and that just made me so happy!
We also got a new pig at the barn. It is not my pig! Just making that clear! His name is Siqua. Still very reserved and keep him to himself but he has only been here for a couple of days. I didn’t see him until today though…
