It’s kind of good timing when you pass your Emergency Medical Dispatcher certification on Friday and National Telecommunicators Week starts Sunday! Must say a very nice welcoming to the department! And UT Health EMS did absolutely not let us down!

On Sunday we decorated the office between calls. We had a lot of fun while doing it. The theme was The Roaring 20s. Don’t ask me who came up with that theme but someone at a national organization… The decorations were fun though!

All kinds of things and a selfie wall and headbands to go with it… No I didn’t take any pictures in front of it and wasn’t asked to be in any group pictures either so this is the only selfie of it I took…

The company was so kind and gave us some gifts as well. A really cool bag and a mug! You can’t have too much of either. And this bag will be awesome with my tea! I absolutely love it! One of my coworkers had also been at a conference last week and brought all of us pens and eyeglass cleaner back! Isn’t this pen just too cute?

And of course food and candy. Oh Lord, I am so happy I was only working two days this week or I would have gained at least 30 lbs!!! There was an endless amount of sweets of all kinds and for lunch they served burgers one day and fajitas the second. So delicious!

Huge thank you to everyone who helped organize and pull this week off. It really doesn’t end until Saturday but I am off the rest of the week so I won’t be a part of it.
