Last year I started with some new routines and traditions for new year. And since 2022 was a pretty good year for me and I am off, I am very thorough with doing them all again and maybe some more…

New Years Cleaning… most of it is happening today but I started yesterday. One thing that needed to be done was my desk. It was too much stuff everywhere, BamBam is laying his head on the desk with all his drool etc etc etc. So I started that project but I didn’t take a before picture because I didn’t think all this would happen… but this is how my desk looked when i was done with the cleaning.

At least clean and organized. But I sat down and one thing I have always hated in this house (I rent so I can’t do much about it) are the walls. I can take a roller and paint it but it needs to be more thoroughly done with that because there are holes and all kinds of stuff that needs to be smoothen out in this room. But then I thought of something I bought long time ago but I never used. I have a Swedish Flag backdrop in a drawer. As a matter of fact, I knew exactly where it was too. So off to project hang up backdrop and look at this!

What a freaking difference!!! I thought the backdrop would be bigger but it works absolutely perfect for this purpose! I am so pleased with myself! And all I can say is there will be a lot of magic happening at this desk in 2023. I am working on a huge project that I can’t talk about that will launch sometimes in the spring.

So now I am cleaning the entire house, will make sure I have a set of clean bedsheets for tonight. Because another tradition I started was to wake up before midnight, change bedsheets, take a shower and go to bed in a clean bed. Then you wake up to a clean house in 2023… that is a good start of the year isn’t it? This year I will head to the barn around 11pm tonight and give them a load of hay so they have something to do during the fireworks. I am not concerned about them because they are shooting so much around the barn anyway. But it keeps them occupied inside the barn so they don’t see it at least.

I am also doing my livecast with Sweden around 5pm with my friends Tone & William. And at that time I will probably eat my new years dinner that will be the same as my birthday… steak and baked potato!

So I am doing everything I can to make 2023 start off in an amazing way!
