Last Christmas Show of 2022

The choir Glādjeklangen was invited to the Swedish-American Chamber Of Commerce’s Christmas Party yesterday to spread some Swedish Christmas spirit. So up to Plano, TX I headed. It was only 4 adults and 5 kids that was able to come but heck, we did a great job. Those kids were awesome!

A huge table with Christmas food was set up. So mad that I can’t have fish anymore but I got me some ham and a meatball sandwich. It was delicious!

The performance went really well actually. I think it was my best performance of all three I’ve done this year. The acoustique was just awesome for these kind of things. We were standing on the stair landing and that made the sound come from above. I sang the Swedish Christmas song Jul, Jul, Strålande Jul as a solo. Thank you to Helene Honeybone for recording it!

So I guess Christmas has kicked off for real now. We’ve passed Lucia, and all three performances. Am I in a Christmas mood? Not really… I don’t know why. But I’ve had a great time at all these events. I’m probably too focused on Wednesday when The Winner Takes It All comes out… we’ll see how that is received by people…
