In A Swedish Home

Last night I headed up to north Dallas to join the choir Glädjeklangen for a practice for the Lucia Celebration on 11/26 and 12/3. The first thing that I saw when I got there was this:

I knew I was in a Swedish home! Because in Sweden we take off our shoes as soon as we get inside. Why you may ask… because the weather is more wet in Sweden and you don’t want all that dirt and mud all around your house. It is considered rude to not take off your shoes just inside the door… Often we have a pair of indoor slippers or shoes at home and it does happen that we bring it if we know it will be cold… now you know

The practice went well. A lot of fun to sing some Swedish songs again. I think it will be a great show. The kids are doing so well! I was so exhausted working a 12 hour shift, drive two hour and then try to smile. But it worked out anyway!

I can only say I HATE DALLAS TRAFFIC. Good grief folks. Y’all drive like morons! I don’t think any driver thought about the possibilities to a crash when they drove in 80mph on George Bush… Maybe it’s just me getting old, grumpy and just too country! I get frustrated on the construction on HWY 19 home from work every day… Just the thought of Dallas traffic every day makes me panic almost!

Anyway, if you want to come and listen on December 3, that would make me very honored. There will be songs that you recognize. I will sing O Holy Night in Swedish as one of my solo’s for example.

Amazing website!!! It’s a great display of talent, family, entrepreneurship, and fun. I’ve seen the suv with this address on it multiple times, to the point I became curious.
