14 Years In Texas…

I can’t believe that it is 14 years today since the truck with all the dogs rolled in to the farm outside Terrell, TX. The horses was in quarantine in Ohio and would come two weeks later. Mom was already here since a while.

It’s been a wild ride. A rough ride. I agreed of moving here so mom could fulfill a dream to move back to the US. I said I would give it 5 years and then see where we were at. Mom has been gone since 2.5 years and I am not planning on leaving anywhere. I love it here. Except the darn cold weather we have right now. Texas is my home.

Not celebrating it in any particular way. No one to celebrate it with really. It’s just me who knows, well you do because you are reading this. But I should celebrate it. I’ve come so far. Been down to the lowest bottom where I never thought I would be, almost recovered fully when I was slammed with health issues. Recovered from that. Just 2022 has been such an amazing year for me, that itself is worth celebrating. And many more wonderful and amazing years are to come!

I have made some great friends here in Texas. As I don’t have any family, I have a lot of people around me that cares about me. I feel safe here. More safe than I ever did in Sweden. That’s a long story why… So unless I’m winning the jackpot on the lottery I won’t go anywhere. And the likeliness for that to happen is 0.0001%. So, sorry East Texas, you’re stuck with me!
