Yesterday was my only day off this week. And when I have these kind of weeks my days off becomes almost chaotic. I had the day planned out, almost to the minute and it turned out pretty darn close to what I thought.
Already at 6:45am the dogs and I took our routinely walk. They love our walks and that makes it so much fun. The temperatures are so nice and cool that early in the morning which makes it easier for especially BamBam.
Then home for a quick shower and off to the Chiropractor in Canton. He just laughed at me and my injuries from last week. You can barely see the bruise now but I showed him a picture. Yeah, most likely a hairline fracture or two was his guess as well. Concluding that I have a very strong bone structure.
From there I headed to Tractor Supply for some shaving and Alfalfa and then to Gun Barrel City for a quick visit to my doctor’s nurse to get my quarterly shot. Quick and easy.
Took HWY 175 North West up to Terrell to get my nails done. It was very long overdue. So now we have sparkly red instead of neon green. I like this set a lot actually.
Then throwing myself into Dallas traffic. I hate it. But my destination made it so worth it. Dover Saddlery. A paradise for me! I needed a bridle for Acriz. Her head is so much smaller than her sisters so she needs Cob size to all her stuff. I found one to a really good price. I told myself that I was going to look at breeches to see how much I needed to budget for. Well, then I found them. They were hanging there for only $37. I just had to. I could not turn it down. So I got them. And a pair of socks. But I made it within my $200 budget!!! I am proud of myself!
At this point time was around 1pm and I was starving. Since I was in Dallas there was a lot to choose from but I took the closest I could find. Raising Cane’s. I had never been there! I know, it’s embarrassing.
I took the time to actually sit down and eat instead of driving. Wasn’t in the mood to eat while navigating in Dallas crazy traffic. Passed by Dollar General for some grocery shopping before heading to the barn.
Now was the question; how would Acriz like her new bridle. Well the bit I had was a little too big so I have to get a smaller one. And I think that was why she didn’t like it that much. It was the first time she had a bit in her mouth so I give her that. But it looked good on her!
Finally, at 4:15pm I parked the car in the driveway. Totally exhausted. Happy to see the dogs. This day had been about 170 miles trip in total. My poor car! But I got everything done that I had planned, paid bills and prepared for the next three days I’ll be at work. Keep on living the dream!
