I was working a 16 hour shift yesterday. Not what I had planned but I was asked to stay and help out another EMT that needed to come in late and I agreed. So I was extremely tired when I got home and I knew that I would only get a couple of hours of sleep until I had to get up and do it all over again.

When I got home and got the mail I had two packages. One that I expected that was the company christmas gift (yes for 2021… better late than never right?) but the other package I didn’t expect until another week. I knew that my friend Anette had sent me a package from Sweden but it sometimes takes a while for it to get here. And I had no clue what was in the package. It was heavy! What in the world did she send? I am so mad that I didn’t record my own reaction when I opened the package. It would have been a Tiktok sensation.

10 huge Marabou chocolate bars! The last couple of days I’ve been so freaking longing for Swedish candy and then Anette sends me this! If you didn’t know it, I LOVE CHOCOLATE! If I have an addiction that would absolutely be it!
The thing with these are that there are different flavors. Popcorn, Oreo, Pistache, Nut & Almond, Orange just to mention some. Some of these flavors I have never even tried! They came to the market after I left or they are seasonal. I was absolutely ecstatic when I opened the package. Tired, happy and so so grateful! No, I actually didn’t open them right away. I wanted to but I was too tired. I needed to be a good girl and go to bed!

So, am I now going to eat all of it at once by myself? I wish I would but no. So here is the fun thing with this. I posted a picture of this on my Instagram and my friend Oslomedic from Norway joined in. He will send me some Norwegian chocolate to compare, what is best? Well the weird person I am will not make that decision, I will let the Americans make that decision. So… once I get the package from Norway I will get a couple of Non-Scandinavian related friends over and we are going to do a livestream chocolate tasting. We don’t have milkchocolate here in the US that tastes the same. It is quite a different taste. So then we will be able to determine, which is the best, Swedish, Norwegian or American chocolate. The challenge for me is to leave some of this goodness alone so we can do the testing for another couple of weeks… I can do it. It will be worth it!
