Texas Is Frozen

Already last night when I went to bed I heard the rain tap on the window. Knowing that it would be super cold I had put my faucets running a little so the water wouldn’t freeze and cranked up the heat a tad so I wouldn’t have problems with my blood pressure. When I woke up this morning, my anticipations had been entirely correct. It was sleet outside the door. Not even the dogs wanted to get out without a blanket, and that is a first!

The dogs went out and pottied and came right in. This was not a weather they enjoyed, that’s for sure. We stayed in bed for a couple of more hours and then I got bored. I had to move. You could hear the sleet falling and bouncing on the ground. And it wouldn’t be better for a couple of hours according to the forecast so it was just to bundle up.

I have been sitting in front of the computer most of the day working on websites. I am almost done with the Swedish Livecast’s new website. The dogs has been so bored all day long. They don’t get why we don’t go for a walk. But I say no to that. I have almost gotten over the cough I had and I don’t think a walk in 23 degrees and sleet falling with slippery roads is something I need.

I have to admit that I am a little hesitant about going to work in the middle of the night. I’ll leave in very good time. They still encourage people to stay home if possible tomorrow, well that is not an option for me. But I’ll be fine if I take my sweet time.
