I woke up yesterday morning and heard a wheezing sound in the kitchen. It was loud enough that I heard it even when the heater was going. I looked under the sink and couldn’t see anything. It wasn’t wet either so I went outside and saw this…
I’m certainly not a genius when it comes to this but to me it looked like there was a waterline in the wall that had busted due to the cold weather. I called the maintenance man and he came out while I was to the chiropractor. I had told him that I couldn’t see anything inside and there was no water to be found more than on the outside. He called me when he had looked and said that he would be back today for further exam and fix but he agreed with me it looked like we had to go into the wall to find the problem. That would be easier to do from the inside than the outside.
So this morning at 7:30 he shows up. He looked under the sink where it now is some water. He pulled in the waterline going to the dishwasher and there it was!
It looked like a problem that was much easier fixed than we initially thought it was going to be! So now the dishwasher had to get out and the waterline had to be pulled off.
I have heard some mice and rodents in the wall lately and I quickly figured that this may be a work of them. And I was right. The little bastard was thirsty!
Well, at least this wasn’t what we initially thought. Both my landlord, the maintenance man and myself had our mind set on a major repair with the foundation and you know… it could end however and whatever. Instead it was a mouse making a $30 damage. I hate those little rodents but I’m very blessed to rent a house from an awesome landlord!
