I wasn’t really sure how the weather would be today so I had planned to take a easy workout at the gym. I thought it would be good as well to variate the workout a little. It’s been a while since I went to the gym. Even though it’s not too many of the equipment I can use it’s still something different. So I started out with the rowing machine, as I always do. I only did 15 minutes because I didn’t want to over do it. I was sore in my legs which actually surprised me and then I thought about what I walked in yesterday… my boots… a little heavier than what I usually walk in…
I usually do a sitting ellipse after the rowing machine but it was occupied so I went straight to the treadmill instead. It’s the easiest of all equipment at the gym, not surprisingly. I’m a little confused here because my watch and the machine says two different distances that I have accomplished. The machine said that I had walked 2.38 miles and my watch said 1.89 miles. And it had a much better pace on the machine than on my watch… Not only is it confusing but frustrating; I don’t know which one to use or trust! But for now I’ll have to use the watch…
The ellipse was still occupied when i was done and I didn’t want to wait for it so I called it a day. It wasn’t too bad even though I wasn’t really pleased. Mostly because of the difference between the treadmill and my watch.
The weather became really nice, in the upper 50s around 3pm. So I figured that it would be nice for the dogs to go on a walk. Not that I really needed it but they did. I work the rest of the week and it’s going to be cold again so the likeliness for a walk is slim. Take the opportunity then, right? And I’m glad I did. I got a super nice walk in the books!
They really enjoyed it and so did I. I came home and looked in the stats, yepp, almost 7 miles down today total. Sweet sweet. No, I am not yet back to my 5 miles power walks but I’m getting there. Right now working for the 5K in Canton next week. Both excited and scared. I’ll just have to get into it with open mind and no expectations!
