Fill The Ambulance

What a blast I had yesterday!!! For four hours my coworker Summer and I danced, sang, and just goofed around outside Walmart in Athens to inspire people to donate money to The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle and/or buy toys for kids in foster homes in East Texas

It sounds fairly easy to hang out outside Walmart and ring a little bell for 4 hours right?… But that’s not what we did… We had a 4 hour long continuous entertainment going!

Summer is as energetic as me, if not even more and I know that there were some customers that donated money or even bought gifts just because of our show. We involved the customer and danced and sung with them. And it was so worth it… this is when we started at 10 am

And this is when we were released 4 hours later at 2pm

And this is the view from the inside

The ambulance was basically half full with toys and it was going to be there for another 3.5 hours with another crew so I bet that they filled it up! And this was the second day we were there and they did awesome the first day.

A lot of people saw the ambulance with the blinking lights and was worried something had happened to someone and when they saw the toys and what the commotion was actually about they were so relieved. Some of them also bought a toy just because. When another crew was posting with us, it brought even more attention!

I had such a blast but talk about being tired when I got home! My body is old you know, not used to keep going for 4 hours like that! haha! But we proudly posed for our “accomplishment picture” when we left!
