I know it is risky… but I am going to do it! The reason for me not working out as much as previously is that I got increasingly dizzy afterwards. I had to step back and come up with a plan for how to avoid it. During the last couple of weeks I have changed my food habits and become more thoroughly with what I eat and when I eat it. So now it’s just the workout part left to work on.
A while back I saw that there will be a 5K, 10K and Half Marathon in Canton in January. I thought that it would be fun to try to do a live 5K just to feel how it is. I don’t need to have any goals more than to finish it. So today I took action and entered the race! I am actually a little excited about it. I have never done a live race in my life. And no, I won’t run, I will power walk!
Please cheer for me on January 15th! The race is early, 7 am so I should be done about 8am. Let me know if you want to join me! I would love to have some people to walk with even though once we start I will have music in my ears and be in my own little world…
Once I had signed up all the social media trolls knew about it… well I shared it but just out of nowhere all these ads about both virtual and live races popped up… and there it was… Hot Chocolate 5K in Dallas on February 12th. I am off that day as well so I am super tempted to enter for it! I have to make up my mind by December 26th when the entry price goes up… wish I could do the Canton race first. But it is a month between them at least.
I have a goal for 2022 to finish a 5K race a month. It can be a live race or a virtual and to enter another live event would be quite a reason to keep on going, but will my body be able to make it? If I don’t try I won’t know, right? Okay, I’ll do it!
