Failure x2

I had to run some errands yesterday and went to my local Brookshire’s. Minding my own business just about to finish what I had in mind to get when I see a young man, employee walking towards me. He is walking very intentionally and I get the feeling that he is aiming either for me or something just behind me. He stops right in front of me and asks “How was the shift?”. I wasn’t really in a social mood and got a little confused since I didn’t recognize the man and it wasn’t any hello or introduction, just straight out “How was the shift?” So I asked him back; “What shift?” I work many shifts and I didn’t know if he was curious about a specific call or really what he meant. “It’s hard to work 24 hour shifts” he said. Well, I don’t, I work 12 hour shifts. I started to walk slowly because I wasn’t really in the mood of talking to anyone first of all and I didn’t recognize him. I had no clue at that moment who he was and it was one of those situations when I couldn’t ask “Wait, who are you?” but that would probably have been the best. I didn’t want to be rude but I was just so confused. Was I supposed to know this person? He had a handwritten name tag and I couldn’t see what it said on there to get a clue either. He left me alone, probably thinking I was super rude and I went to check out.

I came to the car and went home. Thinking about it… still no clue if I was supposed to recognize him. If I was… I have not seen him for many many years probably. Sometimes I just feel like an idiot. I could have handled that situation so much better… now he probably think I am super rude when I actually was just confused. Well well, not much I can do about it now… but so embarrassing.

A week or two ago I put up some halloween decorations. I have never been good at decorations. My mom did all that, she was a master of anything crafty. Me on the other hand… haha! I’m a big joke. I can barely do a smiley face. So this is how this decorations looked when I hung it up

Well then the weather thought that it wanted something to do with my decorations… and this is how it looked today. A total disaster…

They are as scary as Halloween is… I just had to take them down. So disappointed! And I have been looking for the decorations from last year and haven’t found them… I give up now. It’s only a couple of days left until halloween is over anyway. Do I dare doing anything for Christmas or is that going to be a mess too? I love decorations but I’m really bad at it myself!
