It’s kind of crazy that I am doing my 7th episode of the podcast already. I know, 7 ain’t much, not even two digits but the response I get on the podcast is surprisingly positive. And that makes me very happy! Last weekend I got an idea to cook something on the show so I did a test show that went straight down the drain. I guess I didn’t put enough effort into it, thinking it was only a testrun so the result was miserable. I spent a couple of days thinking about it. Should I really do it, how would I change it, how can I improve it etc etc etc. Then yesterday, I was supposed to work. Or so I thought, it was my standby day. But with the new program in place I wasn’t called in. So I saw it as a sign to spend the day doing the actual thing I had in my mind.
I am used to be on stage and not very bothered about it. I am used to hear my accent, but absolutely hate it. Why in the world do I start a podcast then? And why do I add a YouTube channel to it? I don’t even like to cook so where did the idea to cook in front of a camera come from? I wondered that many times when I went to the store and got the ingredients that I needed.
Came home and started fibble with phone camera and light and sound. All those things that I actually doesn’t know anything about at all. It is “Fake it til you make it” all the way here. And then I hit record. It went okay. I got the food done and the house is still standing. No firefighters on my street due to me at least. But it only took about 15 minutes to cook the dish so now I had another 15 minutes that I had to fill. Thankfully I had a plan for that but it was to move the camera, light etc etc etc. And when all was done, it was to get it all together. Ha. Don’t think I know anything about editing either! Because I don’t. I don’t even look at YouTube to learn. I see what happens when I click on stuff. Yet, the result isn’t too bad. Not saying it is good, I’m just saying it’s not too bad. It is at least so I dare putting it on YouTube and Podcast tonight!
Well, how it will be received by the viewers and listeners is still to see. I don’t have any high expectations, none at all to be more honest. But it was sort of fun as well to step out of my comfort zone and do this. So tonight or tomorrow, head over to Swexan Podcast’s website and look or listen to it! Let me know what you think! And if you haven’t listened to the last podcast you can hear it right here:
And if you have a suggestion of content or guest for the show, please let me know. Either PM me on either of the social media channels or shoot me an email
