Brick Street Spring Festival

I love that we see event start popping up again. I am so done with everything that has to do with COVID-19. It is time for the world to go back to normal. And this year Wills Point decided to do their Brick Street Spring Festival. It is the formerly called Blue Bird Festival that got some new features and a new name and is now organized by the chamber of commerce. I had reserved a spot for EastTex CERT so we could be present with a booth. We have operated in Van Zandt County since just before COVID started so we have not been able to promote as well in this county. So we need to take every opportunity possible to do it.

We got a great spot, in the very middle of everything. this picture is taken in the middle of setup, it looks like we are all by ourselves but we are actually having the best spot! And with me today I had the best crew, Melonee Lamb, Herman Lamb and we were later joined by Matt Alden!

Except for some unexpected wind, the weather was just amazing today! I was also asked to go on stage and tell a couple of words about EastTex CERT and what we do. I got a time slot early in the morning (with less than 5 minutes preparation) so it wasn’t many people who heard it but yet… I got the word out to some people!

The County Eagle (newssite on Facebook) was there and took a picture of us as well so we got some good promotion on their page! We take every opportunity we can to get a word in!

Thank you Wills Point Chamber for a great event! We had a blast!!!
