After a long day on the road yesterday we rolled in to Dallas just before 2 am. But we didn’t just drive non stop. We did a stop at the Capulin Volcano in New Mexico first and that was an amazing experience!

We walked around the rim of the volcano which first of all was a hike harder than we expected but it was certainly worth it seeing the view! Just stunning and fabulous!
But after doing that hike (on an empty stomach you get quite tired! At this point we still had 8+ hours left to Dallas.

Sean was so kind and let me sleep on his shoulder almost the entire trip home.

After a couple of hours of sleep in my bed it was just to get up and get the two monsters home! BamBam and Twix has been at my vet clinic while I’ve been gone. Neither of them has ever been away from me this long so I was a little worried about how it would go. But it went well. They had given BamBam anxiety medication so he wouldn’t been so stressed. Needless to say, both was very happy to come home and curled up on their bed for a good nap.

The rest of the day has been to unpacking, laundry and getting back to normal. Trying to prepare for the cold weather we apparently brought with us from Colorado. Sorry folks!!
