Back In The Studio

The music for my next song has been ready for a while but since I wanted to release Single City first I’ve been waiting with going back to the studio. But yesterday it was time again. Heading to Mesquite where Paul Piper has his studio. It is always a blast to work with Paul. Not only is he an amazing musician but he is so freaking funny it’s hard to compose your seriousness and not laugh in the middle of the song.

We had to be a little innovative. At our last session we had a little problem that the microphone picked up the sound from the headphones. So this time I was doing the entire recording with a beanie on my head… and it was warm!

As the Swede I am, of course it was a Swedish beanie!

The recording went really well. I doubt that we even need to do some fill in sessions. Now is just the mastering and Pauls magic that needs to be done and then the waiting game begin. I won’t do a video to this song, especially not after the problems with the first one. This song won’t come out until end of January or beginning of February so it is a while until you will hear it.

I am now starting to think about the next song. These two songs were so obvious for me. It was like they spoke to me and what the year of 2020 brought to me. But how do I follow up after this. Both of them are a little slow tempo so maybe something entirely different? Maybe jazz? Country? I have so much within the country genre to explore. If you have any suggestions, please shoot them my way!!!
