Bluelight Friendsgiving

After a roller coaster workweekend where life in EMS really showed off; it was time to relax with some friends and new acquaintances. My friend Jason had put on a Friendsgiving for people in EMS, Lawenforcement and Fire. This was going to be taking place in Ewett, outside Gilmer, TX. I had promised to be there a little earlier to help out with the set up and also bring a stickycake. I made the cake the night before because it’s best after a night in the fridge but it didn’t turn out as sticky as I wanted so I did my own little decoration and just called it a chocolate cake instead…

There was food in overload! Good Lord. And desserts (but mine was the only chocolate). So if you went hungry from there it was certainly your own fault!

Most of the people attending was from Christus EMS and Ewell Fire. We were two from UT EMS (I had actually never met the other girl). It was fun to meet some new people and we all share the same interests at least when it comes to work. So I had a great time. Glad I’m not working today because I wasn’t home until after midnight since it is a 1.5 hour drive from Ewell and home. But, I can just take it easy all day long and recover!
