On my way to work this morning it dawned on me that I have not put up anything about or from my music. I took everything down when I revamped the website back in May and haven’t thought about it that much since I am not singing that much anymore. But yes, I released a CD back in 2017 with the name Welcome Home.

I got an inquiry from an artist if I had anything recorded that they could listen to. At that time I didn’t but that was the start of two weeks of total craziness. With monetary support from friends and family I was able to go in the studio and record 7 songs one week later. I had just had a cold and my voice was absolutely not in the condition to perform but it was a one time opportunity I just couldn’t miss. We recorded in 10 hours straight non stop until there was nothing left of my voice. I didn’t think I was going to be able to do that much but once we got going we just kept going. While it was mixed and mastered I went home and did the graphics and put everything together to send off to print. And boom, exactly 17 days later I had my very own first CD in my hand! That was insane! An album is usually a year long project and we pulled it off in 17 days from inquiry to finished product. So with that said, of course there was things that could be improved but I had so much fun! And that was also one of the reasons for me having the opportunity to travel and sing the national anthem the following year.

I wanted to follow up with a Christmas album the year after but things came in the way and there was only one song recorded, Ave Maria. Since then my mom got sick and there was just not time or money to finish that project.

I doubt that I will ever finish that project. I love Christmas and Christmas music but have sadly lost a little of the joy in singing after I was given some rude and not pleasant comments and actions. Sometimes I get a hint back to do something and I still have a bunch of songs I would like to sing but not sure if I want to meet the negativity afterwards. So we will see if I ever record any more music again. That is also why I don’t do much karaoke anymore. I am very self critical and rarely pleased with what I perform. That has always been one of my biggest problems throughout life.
