I was supposed to have a stress test done on my heart today. I have been fighting with my insurance company in regards to my cardiac treatment for a while. I got my pacemaker at Mother Frances long before I got the insurance. The cardiologist at UT has since stated that he wants to remove my pacemaker, he believes it is not necessary for me to have it. Therefore I am not really interested in going to him. The insurance have agreed to pay my expenses at Mothers if I come in to a UT hospital via ambulance and then transferred to Mothers but that’s it. This procedure was an outpatient procedure and yesterday afternoon I got a phone call from Mothers that they would need approximately $1900 up front before the stress test is done. Ha! That ain’t happening. Where would I get that from? So there won’t be any stress test done.
I’m not really worried about it not being done. Don’t think it would give us more information than what we have now really. It is more frustrating that I won’t have an MRI done, but that is partly for different reasons.

I finally had two days off so I could knock the headache out that I had for a week. I didn’t want to take anything strong because I know I will be super tired and would need to sleep it out. So yesterday morning I started the day with a muscle relaxer and Tylenol #3. I was then going to take in a case of water and I have no clue what happened but suddenly two pop sounds from my back and the pain was extreme! I was glad that I didn’t have anything planned. It was just after lunch now so I took another dose of Tylenol #3 and muscle relaxer and went to bed. Found a position in bed where I could relax and fall asleep. Slept for a couple of hours. When I woke up my back was better and my headache was almost gone. So before going to bed I stepped up the meds and took a Tramadol with the muscle relaxers so I knew I would sleep good. And when I woke up this morning I felt better than I’ve done in a long time. I still had some ache in my back but my head was pain free and that was amazing. I could take 2 Excedrin this morning for the back ache and that was enough! I was quite happy that I had two days to fix this on! Didn’t want to call a doctor to get a note for work. I can’t really afford that! Hopefully it will all be good at work tomorrow too!
