Socialization Training

It’s been a boring time lately for Twix. The rain has been falling and not much to do. I realized that it was Canton First Monday this weekend so I was contemplating with myself if I should take him there for some socialization training. Pro’s and Con’s… the virus, likeliness, bla bla bla. And then I said, I’ll go and have a mask on when I go through crowds or indoors. So off Twix and I went…

Twix does NOT like the car. He gets carsick, but often throws up on the way home, not the way out. Yet, he knows what is coming so it is not a popular part. It was also a little confusing for him that BamBam wasn’t coming along.

For those of you who don’t know, I have been working on the fairgrounds for almost 2 years a couple of years ago. I was working for Canton WiFi and with that I knew a lot of the vendors. But time has gone, some of the vendors are no longer there but some are. So I made it a mission to go and see some of them. My first stop was up on the hill at IAmErica’s Flags. It is spelled that way because the owners names are Eric and Erica. Kinda the best business name ever if you know…

This store has all the flags you can ever imagine! I am serious, if you need a flag they got it! I got two flags for my yard but when I came home I realized that I didn’t have a yard pole for that size I bought… So once I get that next week I will show you what I bought…

Then I made my way to a very dangerous store… If you like home decor, lights, lamps and that kind of stuff… do NOT miss Twigs Home & Lightning! If I lived at a bigger place and I had the money I would go nuts and crazy in their store. Tim and Jay are so awesome guys too, it was so good to see them!

I also went by Johnny with Cantrell Crafts but at this point Twix was so tired and thirsty so I never took a picture. Johnny had a bucket and there was water just next to his booth so Twix got some to drink which was good. But it was fun to see some of his metal art real life!

Never found my friend Jason who works EMS out there, I try to catch up with him but with that amount of crowd, I bet he was busy.

It was a fun short trip. Twix behaved excellent. He certainly doesn’t have any socialization problems. I am so grateful that he doesn’t bark at other dogs, he doesn’t mind people coming up and talking to him, he is just so easy going. Until the ride home. He knew he was going to throw up. And he did. But I was ready for it so not a big deal. He was happy to be home at least and you would think that after a 1.5 hour walk at a place like that, a 6.5 month old boy would be just a little tired? Nope, not Twix. I was hanging up this and guess what… Twix wanted to go for a walk again. That did not happen!

I’ve been looking for a hanger for a while for their harness and leashes and found this today, for $10! Heck yea, that was mine!
