Back In Yellow Uniform

This Corona crap is probably one of the reasons I am so bored while not at work. I am used to be super active with EastTex CERT, we have events almost every weekend and then its presentations during the week or other administrative duties that has to be done. Well, now all events are cancelled and nothing is really going on. Can’t even do trainings as we used to. But then yesterday morning I joined Hunt County Coordinator Robert Hite when he visited Greenville Rotary Daybreak to their meeting for a presentation. We were there last year doing a similar presentation but then it was for some reason me having the presentation. This time he did it and I was just supporting.

It was almost weird to put on the bright yellow uniform shirt again. It was so long time ago now, I don’t even remember when I had it on last.
The meeting started at 7 am. Remember it was much more members attending last year but that is absolutely expected. But now they had the option to join in via zoom. The presentation went well and we got some good questions afterwards. It was a general presentation about what we do, how we do things, training, call outs, etc. That kind of outreach is so important for us to do, especially now when it is “downtime”. If you have an organization or neighborhood watch you want us to visit, please shoot me an email or contact me on any social media sites! We’ll be happy to come out!
