I have said it before and say it again; I am not a good cook. Therefore I have no clue why I got the idea that I wanted to try to cook in a Crockpot today. I needed to make some lunchboxes for work and I knew that I had not one but two Crockpots somewhere. And surprisingly I found both of them. So I googled some recipes and headed off to Brokshire’s to get groceries. If I anyway was going to make one, why not make two so I have enough in the freezer? All or nothing, right?

It was really super easy. I was asked for the recepie on my Facebook page so here it is:

2 Chicken Breasts
1 can Chicken Soup
1 pkt Dry Onion Soup
8 oz Cream Cheese
Mushrooms
Egg Noodles

Dice the chicken and season with salt and pepper. Put the chicken, chicken soup, dry onion soup and mushrooms in the crockpot on high for 2 hours. Add the cream cheese to the crockpot and stir. Let cook for another 20 minutes. Cook the egg noodles and add to the crock pot, mix it all around and Bon Apetit!

And in the second crockpot I prepared this:

It was as easy as the first one!

2.5 lbs boneless and skinless chicken thigh
1/3 cup honey
1/3 cup soy sauce
6 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Peanuts Unsalted (optional)

Chop the chicken thigh and season with salt and pepper. Pit it in the crockpot. In a small bowl mix the honey, soy sauce, garlic and pepper flakes and pour it over the chicken. Cook on high for 2.5 hours. When 5 minutes remains add peanuts.

I chose to have rice with this but you can have whatever you want. Next time I will add some bell pepper and maybe pineapple. You can really do so much with this recipe.

I am need to find a substitute for the soy sauce. I made it with soy today but I am very sensitive to it so this is something I will eat when I know I can nap afterwards. Soy makes me very drowsy, that’s why I avoid going to Chinese restaurants even though I love it!

So with this I now have five prepared meals in the freezer. It was really super easy and fun to do. And it turned out really good as well!
